New Applicants/Students attending W.P.C.W.T.'s Course For New CCW Permit Training Are Required To Attend A Course That Shall be a minimum of 16 Hours (Cal. Penal Code 26165) & The Sheriff's CCW Training Curriculum For The County Of Their Residence. Students/Applicants Are Issued A Certificate of Completion And An Award Certificate Upon Passing The Course.
The "Self Defense In Your Home" Part Of The Classroom Instruction Intensely Relates To Cal. Penal Code 198.5 (Also Known In Other States As The "Castle Doctrine Law")
If You Are Renewing Your Existing CCW Permit The California D.O.J Penal Code "26165" Requires That The Course Shall Be No Less Than 8 Hours &/or What The County Sheriff's Department Curriculum Requires.
